Why Choose Thrive-Ability?

For Students

For Students Thrive-Ability utilizes evidence-based research to improve the transition of students with disabilities from school to postsecondary education or to an employment outcome in a competitive integrated environment. Students will have increased opportunities to explore career fields, and practice and improve upon their workplace readiness and self-advocacy skills.

For Parents

Family engagement is vital in supporting success during the transition from secondary education. Pre-Employment Thrive Thrive-Ability offers a unique way for parents to work with their student on their journey to independence and employment.

For Schools

The Pre-Employment Thrive Thrive-Ability Curriculum has a planned Scope and Sequence that is followed yearly and can be integrated into the student’s IEP to show the transition skills they will be working towards each school year. The curriculum is part of a coordinated effort that will enhance and support, the transition services provided by the school.

Collaboration

Collaboration between the school and state VR agency will occur by utilizing the Pre-Employment Thrive Curriculum pre and post surveys to determine a student's skill level with each of the 5 Pillars of Pre-ETS. Survey results will be communicated with the school and can also be used to help determine student IEP goal progress.
