Story

Thrive-Ability started with a simple question: Why aren’t Pre-ETS services sticking? As professionals in vocational and educational fields, we noticed students struggled to retain key concepts—no matter how good the materials were.

Through research and collaboration, we identified three major gaps:

  • No standardized Scope & Sequence – Schools and VR counselors lacked a clear roadmap for delivering Pre-ETS content.
  • No effective tracking – There were no solid metrics to measure student progress and retention.
  • No at-home practice tools – Without assistive technology for reinforcement, skills faded quickly.

Determined to bridge these gaps, we created Pre-Employment Thrive: Navigating the World of Work—a structured, engaging, and measurable approach to Pre-ETS.

But we didn’t stop there. Seeing a broader need, we developed the Thrive-Ability Planner, a customized tool designed to support individuals with disabilities in their personal and professional growth.

At Thrive-Ability, our mission is simple: Empower individuals to thrive by unlocking their potential and enhancing their lives.

Our goal was clear: to create a more effective and supportive approach to Pre-ETS that genuinely meets the needs of our students, as well as VR agencies and schools. And that’s exactly what we accomplished with the creation of Pre-Employment Thrive: Navigating the World of Work!

As the Pre-Employment Thrive curriculum grew, we saw that not only students, but many individuals could benefit from a planner designed to meet their specific disabilities or needs. This insight led to the development of the Thrive-Ability Planner—an innovative tool with an educational component aimed at supporting a range of disabilities. The Thrive-Ability Planner extends our impact and remains aligned with our mission to empower individuals with disabilities to thrive by unlocking their potential and enhancing their lives.
